Durham Properties (Watts-Hillandale Neighborhood)

Our Durham homes are thoughtfully renovated retreats located in the highly sought-after Watts-Hillandale neighborhood, just minutes from Duke University, the VA Hospital, rehabilitation centers, Downtown Durham, I-85, and local parks and golf courses. These homes are ideal for two to four adults or a small family, but they are not designed for large gatherings or events.

Guests may check in beginning at 4:00 PM using a secure keypad system, which is programmed with the last four digits of the guest’s phone number. Check-out is required by 10:00 AM, and requests for an early check-in or late check-out must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance for consideration. Each home provides private driveway parking for up to two vehicles, with additional street parking available for up to four hours. Parking on the lawn is strictly prohibited.

The homes are dog-friendly, and up to two pre-approved dogs are permitted with a non-refundable pet fee of $125. Dogs must be at least two years of age, and guests are asked to keep them off furniture and beds. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, including proper disposal of waste, and dogs should not be left unattended inside the property unless appropriately crated.

Quiet hours in the neighborhood are from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and guests are expected to respect both noise levels and pet behavior during this time. Parties, large gatherings, smoking, and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. Any violation of these rules will result in immediate eviction without refund and may also include additional fees for damages or cleaning.

All Durham homes are equipped with strong 5G WiFi, smart televisions, and iWave-R bi-polar ionization air filtration systems designed to reduce bacteria and viruses in the air. Guests staying for medical reasons at Duke or VA hospitals may qualify for discounted nightly rates and are encouraged to inquire at the time of booking.

These properties are located in a quiet, family-oriented community, making them the perfect choice for a comfortable, convenient, and peaceful stay in Durham, whether visiting loved ones, seeking medical care, or exploring the city’s vibrant restaurants and cultural attractions.

Oak Island Property

Our Oak Island cottage is a bright, family- and dog-friendly retreat situated just a ten-minute walk from the beach. This contemporary three-bedroom, two-bath home is designed for families seeking relaxation and convenience, with restaurants, shops, mini-golf, and a golf course nearby. The neighborhood is walkable and peaceful, offering the perfect setting for a year-round getaway.

Check-in begins after 4:00 PM, and check-out is before 10:00 AM. Guests must be at least 26 or 27 years old (depending on the specific property) to book. Access is provided via a secure keypad, programmed with the last four digits of the guest’s phone number. At check-out, guests are required to complete basic housekeeping, including loading and starting the dishwasher, removing personal items, discarding leftover food and drinks, bagging trash, gathering used towels, stripping sheets from used beds, and picking up and disposing of pet waste. Lights should be turned off, doors locked, and laundry started when possible. Failure to follow these steps may result in a negative review or additional fees.

The property allows up to two pre-approved dogs with a maximum of two per stay. Dogs must be at least three years of age and are not permitted on furniture or beds. When left alone in the home, dogs must be crated. Guests are expected to clean up all pet waste from the yard before departure.

Quiet hours are observed between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM daily. Parties, events, smoking, and vaping are strictly prohibited. Unauthorized gatherings or disruptive behavior will result in immediate eviction without refund. The property includes a private EV charger, which may only be used by the booking guest’s registered vehicle. Use by any unauthorized vehicle will result in a $500 fine and possible eviction.

For safety, the home is equipped with smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher, and secure locks. Guests will be held responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay.
